Project PT4.1 Alternative Liquid Fuels
This five-year core research project which started on 1 June 2023 at the University of Warwick involves the discovery, identification / selection, design, modelling and characterisation of novel electro-catalysts for nitrogen reduction reaction (NRR) to be used as a cathode for efficient synthesis of ammonia through an electrochemical synthesis process. The project lead is Prof Shanwen Tao, and the lead researcher is Dr Qi Zhang, both in the School of Engineering. PT4.1 is supported by an anonymous industrial sponsor. Potentially may collaborate with other companies both inside and outside the UK.
