Chris is a Research Fellow at UCL working on CT1: Economic. He is an energy system modeller with expertise in low-carbon liquid hydrocarbons. He has developed sustainable aviation fuels pathways in the UK TIMES energy system model which underpins long-term energy strategies by the UK Department for Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ), most recently in the Biomass Strategy (2023). Chris has contributed to a number of high-impact projects within the ISR, including the Energy Innovation Needs Assessments (EINAs) for the UK Government.
